Go head to head in KeyRivals, a competitive arcade rhythm game where you duke it out on the show floor.
Play as caricatures of famous musicians performing one of 7 original songs.
The game is designed around a custom made, keyboard-like controller and the game is meant to be played with a screen laying vertically towards each player on a table.
The game won “Best Audio” at the Gotland Game Conference in 2020 and was the runner up for “Best Overall” and “Best Level Design”.

Roles & Responsibilities

Product Owner
Acted as creative director and generalist game designer. Participated in most if not all design discussion and most programming/art discussions as well.

Level Designer
Designed each songs level, as to say its “beatmap”. All timings and placements where built with an intention for players to enter a “flow state” when mastered.

QA
Rigorously tested the game. Would get a to do list from project manager and a bug database from programmers, then play the game for some hours each day.
